Launched in 2020, OccuPain started as a start-up venture in the MedTech SuperConnector challenge accelerator programme, in partnership with GSK Consumer Healthcare - Next & Beyond teams and Imperial College London.

OccuPain is a package of services aims to contain further information regarding occupation-specific pain problems. Pain is a common issue for many occupations, including musicians, dancers and theatre artists etc. Because of the professional demands, performing artists often suffer from physical pain of their bodily parts.

Our initial target is to raise awareness of any kind of pain instead of ignorance, offer an alternative to long-queued medical appointment and to explore the best treatment strategies to assist with the pain. Simultaneously, it helps our users communicating their pain issues more effectively, especially when they are approaching their GPs, physiotherapists and other medical experts.
